Gnarwolves Album Cover

Band names. It's one of the first decisions any group makes, but it is also one of the biggest.

A bad name will not necessarily stop you from being noticed, on the contrary, some names make you stand out from the crowd and draw attention. HOWEVER, a bad name does make your fans really think about wearing your merch and can really bug the members themselves years later, just ask the Arctic Monkeys.

That's why good band names are worth their weight in gold, they make you go "yeah man, that band sounds great" and fills you with hopeful anticipation that the music can live up to the name.

Gnarwolves got me thinking about this subject. Unfortunately they've split up, but the punk band from Brighton were great and had a name, which quite frankly, is one of the best ever made.

So lets do this, below is a continually updating list of great band names. Thats it! And if you like the name, check the band out. You never know, the music might live up to the name. I'm starting with 50 and we'll go from there.
